Taking its cue from natural settings like deep space or molten lava the pendant has an irregular shape created from a mold. Its molten form and finish captures the warm glow and organic shapes produced during traditional glass blowing. Vacuum metallization furthermore creates a mirror effect when turned off and a translucence when turned on.

Designed by tom dixon in collaboration with swedish design collective front the melt pendant light boasts a mirror finish which turns translucent once illuminated or displayed in full daylight. The melt led mini pendant light from tom dixon showcases a beautifully distorted appearance that offers a mesmerizing style to the surrounding space. The blown glass surface was designed specifically to call to mind a melting glacier or the swirling seething images of deep space. Melt is evocative of molten glass the interior of a melting glacier or images of deep space.
